Furnace plates are often made from specialized carbon steel or low-alloy heat-resistant steel, with mechanical properties enhanced through controlled rolling and annealing processes. For example, steel grades such as Q245R and Q345R are commonly used in pressure-bearing components, offering excellent impact toughness and processability.
Applications
They are primarily used in boiler structures (such as the boiler shell and drum), piping systems (such as the main steam pipes), and support components (supports). They must withstand high temperatures and high pressures.
